It’s important to know that there are facilities that have climate control as well. If you’re living in a state with extreme temperatures such as, Florida or Maine, it is recommended you explore this option. Since this is self-storage, you will have to retrieve the items yourself. After your moving company delivers them to your unit, the items are accessible and you may take them when you are ready for them. If you’re using a reputable company, they have a warehouse to store your items. This is recommended for long term storage, if you need a bit of time before you can accept delivery in your new residence. Depending on the size of your move, typically the first month is free of charge and each recurring month requires a payment. It is recommended that you discuss this with your moving coordinator. You will not be able to access your items, as they will remain in the company’s warehouse until delivery.

When you are ready for the items to be delivered to you, the company will load the items up, drive to the destination, unload and reassemble everything for you. The process of using a moving company and utilizing their storage is as follow; on the date of pick up, the movers will show up and load your packed items onto the truck. The items will be transported to said company’s warehouse. When you are ready for delivery the items will be taken out of storage and delivered to your residence. All furniture will be put in the desired spot and reassembled for you. The only thing left for you to do is unpack your boxes!
